I did the ride on a dr650. It's a workout.

I'm doing the dual sport track. I enjoy the more aggressive off road riding.
It will be muddy this year, so knobby tires are recommended.
Picked up my bike last night. Brand new d606 tires. Looks like I'm going to need them. Might leave the bike at home and bring the canoe.

Will this years ride be more offroad than on. Last year's ride was 90% paved road due to weather. The previous years have been great mostly off...

I have a garmin 64s that I like. Works well for me.
Only one I've had so I can't compare.
I ride a Dr650 with knobby tires. It depends on your skill and fitness.
I'm not in fantastic shape and my skill is intermediate I think.
Last year was my first year with a GPS. I show up on my own. All my friends are still pavement pounders.
