    Hey guys,
I saw a list on the OFTR website that included a mazinaw trail ride for august 8th. It says it's organized by the ODSC but I don't see it listed anywhere here. Does anyone have info on this ride?
    Thanks

Hi Randy. The Mazinaw D/S ride (Saturday, Aug. 9th) will be organized by the Northuberland Trail Riders (NTR) along with the Trail ride (Sunday, Aug. 10th).

I will post more details as they become available.

Re: Mazinaw DS ride Sat. Aug. 9

This event has now been publicised / published in the OFTR newsletter, along with a link to this thread. Details would be most welcome.

I visited the Northumberland Trail-Riders' website but it still lists 2013 events. There's no "contact us" link / page / email address, so difficult to inform them of the situation.

I have created a place-holder event on the ADV+ group (http://www.meetup.com/advplus/events/193453182/), will update that when details are published.

    Hi Shawn,
Do the NTR guys have enough volunteers or do you need some ODSC members to help out too?

I've read that this ride isn't suitable for bikes larger than 650cc... can I get more feedback on that? I rode the Bethany ride without much trouble on my 1200GS.

This is a awesome ride, I did this years ago with my 450 Husky. I was hoping that the DS version this year would be good for bigger DS bikes . Disappointed that I am too big this time.

    Tim

The Dual-Sport Ride is meant for Big Bikes (650 & up) the OFTR Newsletter has misreported it. I'm just finishing up the Dual-Sport ride info and hope to post all the details tonight.

Re: 2014 Mazinaw Adventure Weekend Sat Aug. 9th & Sun. Aug.

Kevin and I rode the balance of the route last Friday so, I'm just putting the finishing touches on the route.

To clarify, the Weslemkoon Lakefest flyer suggests tickets have to be purchased in advance. The Northumberland Trail Riders will be letting Frank know the numbers in attendance just prior to the date. We are all ready getting a good response to the weekend.

No worries there, I've got 12k on it already this season, a fair bit of that on dirt. Just ordered another set of aggro tires.

So who else is doing the dual sport ride?

See you up there! The trails are mint. Getting to Weslemkoon Lake is half the fun. Have a great ride.
