The 2nd annual Fundy Adventure Rally is now open for registration at: http://fundyadventurerally.com/2015-event/registration. The event takes place near the town of Sussex in southern New Brunswick, and is sponsored by BMW Motorrad Canada. Early bird rates are good until the 19th July.

We've added a few things this year, most notably two training sessions on the Thursday with BMW Motorrad qualified instructor Clinton Smout. Some of you may have met Clinton at one of the Canadian Motorcycle Shows (he ran the Yamaha Kid’s Academy), or at his training courses at the Horseshoe resort in Ontario.

The rally proper kicks off on Friday and this year we're aiming to fill the whole day with BMW demo rides, guest presentations, and other activities, so if you do come, please try and book that day off work to make it a full weekend. The main ride on Saturday will be based on the route from last year but we will be tweaking it a bit, adding some "C" options for the KTM/Husqvarna/Beta riders out there. The awards presentation has been moved to Sunday and will now be part of a new Sunday brunch so that everyone can chill with friends post rally Saturday night.

Last year we saw rallyists from as far as Maryland in the States and Ontario too - we’ll be offering Ontario riders the opportunity to have their bikes shipped to the event if they’re interested. Or stay a while and take an end of season holiday in the Canadian Maritimes - all are welcome.

I'll be sure to come back to this thread regularly to answer questions. If anyone wants to get involved in any way or has any ideas/suggestions, please do not hesitate to contact me (rob@canadamotoguide.com).

    ABOUT THE FUNDY ADVENTURE RALLY

For those unfamiliar with the Fundy Adventure Rally, it’s all about getting your Adventure/dual sport bike off pavement and into some wonderful gravel and dirt in the Fundy area of New Brunswick.

The Rally is designed for all Adventurists from the relative novice who has yet to really venture off-road, to the experienced off-roader looking for a bit of a challenge on an adventurous, picturesque, and memorable loop.

The 500+km base loop uses easy dirt and gravel roads designed to accommodate adventure bikes with a minimum front wheel size of 19-inches (cast or spokes) and stock(ish) tires. The loop is broken up into sections, with each leg ending at a gas station. Riders have up to 12 hours to complete the rally.

In order to accommodate the rider who wants a bit more of a challenge and has a suitable machine (21-inch front wheel, more aggressive tires, and some engine protection) to match, we have more difficult options that can be taken at the start of each leg. Although these options will vary in difficulty, the idea is to still enable big bikes with a suitable set up and capable rider to ride them.

Please Note – these options are FOR TEAMS ONLY (2-5 members) so that you have people that can help you if you get into difficulty (not swept).

The 2015 Fundy Adventure Rally will happen on the weekend of the 10-13 September at Adairs Wilderness Lodge just south of Sussex, New Brunswick. It even has a paved access road to it and means that riders can start the rally right in the middle of the trails system. All riders and brands are welcome.

    Cheers, Rob

Heads up everyone, the Fundy Adventure Rally early bird rate is set to expire end of this Sunday, July 19th. If you are planning on attending this unique east coast adventure rally then if you sign up before the end of day on July 19th you will get the early bird rate of $135 and save $40. After that, the price goes up to $175 but is available until the registration closes on August 9th.

Just in case you wanted to know how we’re doing so far, we have over 60 riders already signed up to the 2015 event, which is significantly higher than what we had at this stage last year, so the 2015 rally is shaping up to be a corker!

Amazing event, well organized and great riding. From my house in Stratford to the lodge the event was held was only a 15hr drive at reasonable speeds. If you live on the East side of the GTA you can cut 2-2.5hrs off of that. There were 4 or 5 of us that made the trip from Ontario and this Rally. It is so good that there should be 20+ of us next time! Thanks Canadian Moto Rallies for the Fundy 2015!

I completely agree. It was about 13 hours of travel time from Ottawa, including stops, and well worth every kilometre.
    Definitely heading back next year!
