    Hi All,

Just to give a shout out that this ride is on. I am intending to use the asame route Bruce maped out last year and meetup will be at the Mowhawk usual for this ride. I will be posting further details soon. Welcome to the riding season and ride safe.

We begin in Mowhawk before circling Dundas, winding through Ancaster, and then scooting across Hamilton. From there to Niagara we're on the brow of the escarpment until we reach some really interesting winding roads in the Pelham/Beamsville area. We come back up the Grand River's west bank and finish in Ancaster. We stop near the 403 which should make it easy for riders from Toronto and east or SW Ontario. It's about 270 km and lots of gas options. You could comfortably ride the whole thing on a street bike, which is the intention given that we don't want to do any trail damage at this time of the riding season. If the day gets too long, you can bail in Niagara, which is particularly intriguing if you want to stop at all the Falls.

We shall be leaving Mowhawk tracks at 9.am prompt. The weather promises to be nice but make sure you have some warm riding gear just in case.

This ride will be free for members and will attract a $20 fee for non members. We have the GPS routes available for download.

For ease of those coming on the 403, We can meet at Costco in Ancaster a park on the left side of the petrol garage in the parking lot please at 10.30. This is just off the lincoln Alex parkway.

Your family will be glad for the break from you and they will thank you for it.....You may also get to finish with the grand prize bonus award of feeling (I gatta get a new bike).

    Hey Don,
Quick question about the 2 locations to meet up - will both groups be doing the same ride? There is no time posted for the Mohawk/401 meetup so I am not sure if there is one big group or not.

Both groups will be doing the same ride. No trails on this ride as the trails are still too wet. Meet up at the Mowhawk at 9.am prompt. See attached

OK, no trails, but will there be any gravel or hard packed roads, or is it all pavement?

I'm in as long as the rain stays away (no rain gear yet)! I'm planning to meet you at Mohawk to get the full ride in.

Apologies if I am not getting something here but the PDF posted Monday morning lists the start of the ride as the Tim Hortons just north of the QEW at Brant St. In Burlington. Will the ride swing by there as well or is Mohawk the new start of the ride?

I am sorry for the confusion. The ride starts at the Mowhawk and the next pickup is Costco in Ancaster.

I had a great time too. Sorry to bail unannounced but I didn’t know before hand where the route was going. I was close to home and didn’t want to go back to Ancaster. Thanks guys!

Thanks to all that came out. Not a crowd too much to manage and we did manage each other. Thanks a bunch. See you at the next ride.
