Does anyone know of good trails in the area? Maps/Links?
Depends on what you want. There is a ton of logging roads, but not much single track.
If you want to run a gnarly 5km loop, let me know. My son and I have set up a nice closed loop near Bracebridge
I realize this thread is a little out dated... But, I started working up in the Lake of Bays area last summer and couldn’t find much to ride outside of fire roads. Bill, I’d love to check out your “gnarly 5km loop” come the springtime. It sounds perfect. I’m always looking for people to ride with as well. Let me know.
A group of us have done some riding around Lake of Bays. There 's a few trails on the east side that take you to Baysville.
Thanks Smitty. That sounds promising. As I said all I’ve managed to find are snowmobile trails and fire roads. Do you remember where you entered those trails, was it off of Hwy 117? Were they single track type trails? Thanks for your help. Also, Pm me if you’re riding in the area again.
We got on the trail just off of hwy #60, just past #35, south side.
Not much single track, mostly fire roads and sled trails.
No problem. Contact me then. We now have another loop we are working on.
Thanks for the info guys. Bill, I will definately contact you closer to the spring. If you want someone to help clear some trail I'd be be up for that too. Thx again.
