    Hi kevin,

Would you be able to provide some more information on what we can expect from this ride for myself and the other new riders? Specifically regarding difficulty level, pace, etc.

There is two separate routes available. One is designed for stock dual sport tires, larger adventure bikes and new motorcycle riders. Have look at the pictures from last years ride. Most of the pictures were submitted by people on this route.

The second route is setup for more experienced riders with more aggressive tires. It consists more of closed roads offseason snowmobile trails and some gravel to link it all together. Conditions will be wet and there will be some mud and ruts from other off-road vehicles to deal with. There is some sandy roads as well. Overall the ride would be ranked 2 or 3 on a scale of 5 for difficulty. No major hills or water crossings and mostly two track trail .

Pace is set by yourself and some riders shorten the afternoon route as required. Total ride is around 175 to 185 kms in length with all options.

The ride will be navigated by gps but there are lots of people who attend without and just team up with someone with a gps.

This year we will have a limited amount of rental gps units available for new members to use and training as well.

Thanks Kevin, after posting that I did find the 2015 thread and read through most of it.

I think I may have ordered the wrong tires... I have a set of kenda k270 out for delivery today... probably should have went with the 760! I had watched some youtube videos raving on the 270s but it looks like we get a lot of mud in these areas so it may have been a bad choice.

I'll have to spend a lot of time riding to the trails, so at least they will be good for that part!

You can do either route on 270 kinda tires. You would just have to be more careful in the wet rutted sections. The worst mud from last year will have a bypass this year.

I would not however not recommend the agressive route to those with stock trail wing style tires.

Regardless of how much we get in the next few weeks there will still be less this year to melt!!

Most of the limitations to early riding are large drifts and ice in the shade and low areas

As an FYI, the gas station in Bewdley is now re-opened, but who knows for how long!

    Please note the following:
    - Darby's Restaurant in Bewdley is open.
    - Now talk of the town indicate that Rhyno's might be open by then. Having two restaurants in same location to feed us will get you back on your bike quick to continue with the ride.
    - Gas station on 28 just north of Bewdley is also open under new management.
    - also note that the owner of the gas station has a chip truck business. That could also accomadate this event. Fast food is essential.

Looking forward to the ride! So just to confirm, it falls on a Sunday this year, not a Saturday? I guess I'd better book the Monday off, I'm usually feeling like a bag full of rusty nails the next day after the Bethany ride!

Hey! My buddy and I are traveling quiet a ways to get there. Is there camping facilities near by?
