I have a pair of SIDI Dual Sport Boots that are mainly leather with some plastic protection areas and gloves that are mainly leather with what I think is some carbon fibre protection on them. I've been keeping them indoors in a closet.

What I would like to know is: what product(s) should I be using on them to keep them in good shape?

I use saddle soap to clean the leather. Magic eraser on the plastic. Then a good leather conditioner on the boots. Tack shops have good leather products...not usually as expensive as a shoe store.

Thanks Chef. Would never have thought of a tack shop.

I use mink oil for my leather boots, comes in a paste you spread on. Available at any proper shoe store.

I know mink oil is good stuff, but a couple of years ago I used mink oil on a pair of winter boots and left them in the hall. The next day my cats had chewed up the boots pretty badly!

This is very timely. One more question, do you also put it on the suede parts?
