''Twas the day before Christmas and all through the house
Rang the sounds of a honey do list from my favorite spouse

Well vacuuming and cleaning with all of my will
My motors and wheels sat silent and still

But when the words were spoken that my list was done
I ran to the barn to here my motors run

The barn doors flew open, the starter engaged
And I flew across the fields like a racer enraged

Dirt and stones were flying in every direction
But I knew where I was going for St Williams did beckon

I flew over the moguls and made all of the turns
For it was speed and exhilaration that my body did yearn

I ripped down the legal trails, until they were done
And then I rode single track, like I was still young

My Yamaha was steaming from the water and mud
And I new in my heart that this bike was no dud

But when the motor was quiet and there was no sound
I finally realized there was no one else around

No one to witness my maniacle grin
The dirt and the sweat that dripped from my chin

So I headed for the pavement and made my way home
It felt so serene to be riding alone

But when I returned and entered my barn once again
My thoughts were of ODSC, and the friends I had gained

Joining this club with all of it's members has never felt so right
And I wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a wonderful night.

    LOL

I know this could be put in General but I really did have a great ride today. It was sunny here and 12 degrees. I rode all of the trails at St Williams and rode a total of about 120 Km's. The trails were not as slippery as I thought they would be. Lot's of branches but the leaves were not bad at all.
The single track at St Willies showed a lot of signs of use. Much more than the legal trails. I suppose it's a good time of year to take the chance but be careful. The penalty is quite severe if you get caught.
The wierd thing is that I have seen bikes everywhere the past few days but today I did not see anyone. Two days ago I seen a guy riding a chopper in minus 2 temperatures with the highest ape hangers I have ever seen. Makes no sense to me.
Anyway, it looks like another winter where I don't have to winterize my bikes.
    Enjoy the weather guys.

    Rick

wow! 120 km on Christmas eve, that's a rarity, and enough energy left to put it to rhyme,
    Merry Christmas Rick!
