I would like to ride the northern part of Ontario between Dubreuilville-Hearst-Timmins-Cochrane and Kapuskasing.
I have 5-7 days free to explore this area and I would like to join other riders for this adventure.

    Dates are flexible...

Tell us more! Do you have any dates (kinda) in mind? What sort of roads / trails / terrain were you scoping out? Is this a TCAT deal, or a Google Earth DIY? Do you have nuclear-powered bug-zappers for the evenings?

I'm planning on riding this area this summer. Also look up Magpie motel or resort. They are putting together some adventure rides/tours in the area

Aventure Nord Ontario is promoting the region. Ontheir website, all gps tracks are free to download. It seems to be off road trails also used by ski-doos and ATV or quad. I would assume from the photos that it is difficulty level of 1-to 3 on a scale od 0 to 5.
I have a friend doing this ride a the moment and i will know more by Thursday. Mud and water level may be the difficulty.
I have a KTM 1190R and it seems to be ok for for the ride.
    Who's coming next week?

Brian if you use Google Chrome for your Web browser it will automatically translate sites to English.

it's far from perfect but it usually makes them mostly understandable.

My Friends son from Quebec is actually doing the ride right now WITH Patrick Beaule (google him up if you don't know the name).
Keeping track on Facebook of their adventure (I've only seen abitibi Canyon other than the winter /sledding).

I've used Google translate lots of times. But for some reason on my computer its just not working on this page, either that or I'm just not waiting long enough.

I'd be interested for the last week of July.

July might work for me, either early or late -- can people please continue to post info on this thread?

Don, I'm still on the V-Strom, again with Mitas (50/50) tires. I'm a tad more confident on poor surfaces, think I could manage this? Or should I stick with the smaller bike? If the small one, I can't keep it over 100 very long....

You'd be fine on the Storm. May be a bit gripper tire but the bike is fine. Come on out for a practice run with me up Black River way. Going to do an over nighter in Algonquin.

Can't find Black River on the map, but Algonquin's always fun. Post up when you know more, I can share dates I'm free too.

The plan for me is to ride LaSarre Qc on July 2nd and start riding the northern corridor on july 3rd. It should take 4 to 5 days depending on trails we ride. There is motels available in Cochrane, Hearst Dubreuilville and Timmins.
It would be great to be a few riders. Let's go riders!
    Whos's coming?

Just returning to this thread. You might be home, you might be still riding. How was it?!

Work is pushing me to start using up my vacation time (I haven't taken any so far this year), and I keep thinking it would be a gas to ride some of the near-North.

Ahahahaha! Buncha punks. Next year, I guess.

Please remember to upload heat-maps showing the distribution and ferocity of mosquitos and blackflies. :D
