The OFTR website lists the Ganaraska Forest on it's "Where can I ride" section. I assume an OFTR membership is all I need to legally ride there all season? I have heard otherwise from a few different sources, can anyone confirm?

Where is Ganaraska's "main office" and parking facilities located? Also do riders need to "check-in" at the park office before riding?

Is there a definitive GPX file that covers all the trails at the Ganny?

    Thank You!

    Hi Tony

Anyone using the Ganaraska Forest requires a user permit. Available in a yearly or daily format and available at several different locations.

Forest Center, Petro Canada southbound on 115 and the Sandaraska Park Campground Store.

OFTR membership doesn't allow you to legally ride there. They mention it because it is a vital part of Ontario's off-road culture.

There are several parking lots located all around the forest perimeter. Riders do not need to check in

You are also required to have and carry registration and insurance for your bike. There are forest patrols and an OPP presence.

I'll post the repost the gps file for the Ganny tracks in the Gps forum or at least bring the old post near the top for you.
