Can someone please clarify for me what version of KLR this is:

Virtually all KLR photos I found on the web have this body design:

    Which one's "better"?

Also, Kawasaki Canada specs the KLR with a 5 gallon tank, and the US site has it at 6.1 gallons.

    Thanks for the help.

The Canadian gallon is bigger than the U.S gallon.

The top picture is the "C" model which is favoured in Europe and other parts of the world. The US gets the familiar "A" model, but in Canada where where fortunate enough to get both for some strange reason. The C model weighs more, costs more, has bigger forks and brakes, steel wheels, smaller tank, windscreen and guages, but is more street worthy. It also has many other small differences. They didn't sell well in Canada compared to the A model, so you can't get them here anymore.

I think the C model looks much better, but isn't as practical as a off-road or adventure touring machine.
