Has anyone used their corporate health spending account to cover RIDING knee braces? Where did you get the script (chiropractor/sports med clinic?) and which braces did you end up with?

Tear your knee, surgeon will likely give you a ‘script. But not the recommended approach:rolleyes:. No idea if preventative is possible, but seems unlikely.

CTI right (MCL repair, missing PCL), DonJoy left (ACL repair). Both are custom, comfortable and seem effective.

I messed up my knee a few years ago. Not exactly on topic, but get a referral to a sports medicine specialist as soon as it is evident that things aren't getting better on their own. Best two different family doctors for two different injuries could come up with was "that usually heals in 6-8 weeks." Yeah, I know that - that's why I am here 6 months later.

Your family doctor can write a prescription for a brace. It was suggested to me that the prescription should state "for daily use" and leave any references to sports out.

    I have DonJoy braces
