OCT. 21. Mark your calendar and plan to attend. This ride is open to all FULL ODSC members (members with OFTR membership) as the ride takes place in the Simcoe county forests.
Plan on attending.... this is a FREE ride for members with a fantastic catered dinner afterwards.
The ODSC pays part of the cost for this so take advantage of this great offer. You will need to let SCORRA know you are planning on attending so the Caterers can prepare.

The Dual Sport ride will be a self guided GPS ride. The file will be posted a couple of days before the event. For those without a GPS, you can tag on & follow someone who does; no problem...

For some reason I thought the ride was today o_O

End up downloading last year’s track (thank you Motion X) and did it on my own. Despite riding conservatively I had great fun and besides a single trail uphill with sand that I almost got stuck (probably took a wrong turn there) everything else was cool. Thank you for the track and hopefully I’ll make it the right date too :p

Indeed, it should be crisp but sunny; good late season riding conditions. I'll be there for sure to ride the DS route.

The GPS file will be posted on Friday.

The route for the Dual Sport route is posted here:

    Edit: link removed.

As the poster says, w will meet at the Barrie Sports Complex parking lot that is closest to the pavilion. Meet & unload around 10: 00 am and depart at 10:30.
If we find it's too cold t ride the whole route, we can always cut out a portion. We'll make sure we are back in time for the meal and bonfire!

reminder: this ride goes through some of Simcoe County forests, so you must be an OFTR member to ride this route (either OFTR/SCORRA or full ODSC member).

Great day and turnout, despite the low temperatures. We had a couple of really savvy newbies and the usual rascals. Thanks for organizing and the free meal! See you next year guys

Yesterday turned out to be a great day for a ride. Before the event I thought no one would show up, given the 5°C forecast with occasional snow. But 9 riders showed up and rode all day. Everyone finished the ride despite the challenges of bikes not starting, crashing into trees, falling over numerous times, getting stuck in deep sand, etc. I was reminded of why I carry zip ties, spare bolts and a tow strap on my bike: we used all of them in one day (not on the same bike). The whole group worked well together to " get 'her done" , get back on the bikes and finish the ride.

Thanks to Achilleas for leading the route and thank you for all our members who came out; this day, the Last Blast was put on for you. This was the last organised ride of the season, but hopefully we can still ride a bit for the next few weeks when the weather permits! If not, we'll see you next season...

Thank you Michel for all you and the team have done this year, really appreciated the rides I were able to attend. Work kept me from this one. Looking forward to catching up with you guys next year again. All the best for the winter months.
