Hooked up for a ride from Huntsville along the park up north to Trout Creek. A thirsty Ktm ran out of petrol bfnw. I had 840ml in a camp fuel can and siphoned twice from the WR and made it to sunny Sundridge at 7pm Wed. Gas station was closed. Called mother to the rescue from TC where i had left a can of gas and stayed in Trout Creek for the first night. Trail was very dry and dusty. Pretty much only drying mud and water in very few places. Heavy rains came on the last day of the ride so we lucked out with the forecast.

The first day was the toughest, first time I got blisters from a day of riding. Made us pace ourselves for the rest of the trip, so we did and really enjoyed the camping aspect. Mosquito's got bad at dark the first night where we camped along a lake off Hwy 533. Next camp on the Ottawa River was almost no bugs at all.
From Powassan after the first night we rode the Boulter trails from the north end of River Road and headed to Rutherglen for gas and coffee. By 3 pm we made it to Mattawa, and grabbed some grub at Valois on the Ottawa. Pickerel and the best raspberry pie! Took gas at every opportunity now and headed up 533 to a campsite my wife and I used a few weeks ago. Next day was V-muts. Trail 15 was in terrible shape with white sand and rocks on the hills. #35 was a tight bush trail we took and headed towards the look-out. Relaxed on the Little Jocko River and tried a bit of fishing but water was too low and warm for trout. On to Eldee for gas and coffee arriving at 5 pm and lady was already closing up!! Had to cruise over to Temiscaming to the Tem Rose for dinner before heading to the nice site on the Ottawa. Last day of riding we headed north through Tilden Lake and ended up back at home base after storms blew into the area.

Didn't have the packraft with me but caught a nice trout when I went with my wife. Bullfrogs were so noisy I slept with earplugs on our bike trip. Loons calling in the morning made up for it however.
