So my Garmin 60cx battery terminal has rusted off so I'm in need of a new GPS until. I don't think it's worth fixing. I just started doing my research on what one to get now. What better place to start then here. I'll see what you guys recommend. I need to use if for on the snowmobile, dirt bike, ATV and walking around making trail. I also need one that will have a good low profile bar mount that won't fall off. I don't need a camera or anything super fancy, just one that will last being used on the bike. Suggestions?

I like my Garmin Montana 600 very much. Screen is very good, much better than the Zumo 665 that I have on my street bike. I need the larger screen of the Montana so that I can check my navigation at a glance. The smaller Garmin screens don't do it for me.

There's some waterproof rugged phones that might do the job for you. I was using a Kyocera hydro Air as my street bike GPS, but have switched to a Nomu S10 for my all purpose (street bike, trail bike, auto in Europe) GPS.

If it does everything you need, check with Garmin to see if they still offer flat rate repairs (refurbished replacement). Used to cost $150. Otherwise there's one on Kijiji for $175.

Not easy to find used Montana's and they cost more now than they did several years ago when first launched. There's an occasional Sale but usually only $50 off. Even a Refurbished Montana 600 sell for $470 and they are rarely available (but GPS City has refurbs due Feb 15).

If cost is a consideration, look at the Garmin 78 - it has most of the Montana useful features except it's a small screen like your 60Cx.
