Had a great time yesterday, but boy was I beat when I got home! Can't wait to see where the next ride takes us. IMG_20180609_114755672_HDR.jpg IMG_20180609_135746985_HDR.jpg

I have Ram 1 inch ball bases on both my bikes handlebars and switch the (sometimes useless) GPS between them, but I'm definitely putting a power outlet and phone mount on my KTM after yesterday. Strange thing was the feeling of relief when the Waze message showed a longer distance to the next turn. The worst was when Waze said "turn left at ABC street in 500 meters" cause that meant that in 500 meters I had to stop, take off my gloves and fish my phone out of my pocket to look for the next instruction... frustrating!!

Another effective backup navigation system: at that time of day (late afternoon), keep the sun in your rear right quarter and you will end up in Toronto! ;). That's how I got back to Cambridge yesterday (I kept the sun a little further right, since I didn't want to end up in TO).

Another option is to get a head set. I use Cardo, so I have radio, can stream music from my phone (or GPS directions), and it connects to my other GPS also (have not tried it with the Montana). It has been a useful backup sometimes.

Spoken like a true pilot!! I wasnt kidding when I said I had no idea where I was. I didnt know which direction Toronto was! I eventually found a main road and was surprised to see that I was still 50 k's from Durham and 160 from Guelph.. I was conviced I was somewhere near Barrie and expected to find the 400.:(:D

Well, saw the doc today, turns out I have a separated shoulder, no wonder it is so bloody sore. Will take a while to fully recover. Really want to do that ride next weekend, so hopefully better by then, will have to take it easy though..........
