Interested in doing this as my first race. Any thoughts?
Not a super-technical course, but it can be challenging depending on the weather. I have ridden when it was snowing, which actually was pretty cool (pun intended). It was even surreal watching the huge snow flakes float down. Anyway, make sure you have good knobbies. One section is a bit technical with a couple challenging elevations and hill climbs. Most of the trails are very nice since they are not all chewed up. Just be prepared for any type of weather.
Starting and finishing at a golf course is also very nice, the restaurant has nice craft beer and good burgers
Thanks for the info. Look forward to it.
The beauty of the terra nova, whether you are a racer or not is that you get in to ride a couple forests in Simcoe county that are closed to motorcycles the rest of the year. If it is wet, Barker , Mcniece and a few other tracts can be challenging. It’s a fun day but dress for the weather. There are road sections that can be very long and chilling. The shot of jack at the end is always a welcome treat.
Was fun and tough. Made 3rd in my class, no major crashes.
