The SORV report to council has now been posted on the township web site so here is a copy.

The OFTR has succeeded in gaining recognition in land use issues and the proposed ban of Motorcycles has been put off, for now.

The report clearly illustrates the efforts of our membership in written letters and attendance at the Elmvale meeting. Good work!

This is a far cry from the original proposal that banned motorcycles and there is still a lot of work to do here. We have made a great deal of progress to ensure our riding areas stay open.

Although the OFTR took the lead on this there are many people that deserve credit for this effort, too many to mention. We came together, as a team, and have made good progress.

If you haven't contributed to the OFTR land use fund, we still need money to keep this effort up as well as other areas in the province. Contact your local dealers for support.

Woo Hoo! Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout!!!

And have been for many years. I can't tell you how glad I am to see somebody has officially and finally recognized that. If they do decide on putting aside an area for us to use, this will be an excellent precedent to use in persuading other municipalities to do the same and even possibly reverse some of their earlier decisions.

    Information Patrols in Springwater

    All,

I realize most folks will be at Skytop but if any of you are planning to ride in Springwater/Simcoe County this weekend we could use some help in educating any riders you may see about noise and irresponsible riding.

There are signs posted that advise riders of the concerns in Hillsdale and Rainbow Valley Road but we still had some complaints over the Easter weekend.

Attached is a copy of the poster for you to print and distribute to anyone that would like a copy.

The best approach I have found is to advise them to expect an increased police presence and tell them if you think their bike is too loud.

If you do get a chance to patrol, send me a short report I can take to the next SORV. I'll will try to get out over the weekend as well.

Also, if you can help out over the next couple of weeks or months, let me know what dates.

    Ken

Wow!!! As someone who has just gotten back into riding after 10 years, I am more than impressed with everyone's efforts (especially Ken).

As a newbie here I am late to the gate but would like to get involved...

I ride with a few friends (just got back into riding as well) that live right in the middle of this mess and they had no clue what was going on either.

    What can we do?
