Just got back from my trip to the Trans Taiga. This picture represents one memorable moment. The moment when you feel you have done enough riding for the day. Having done 680 odd km's and looking for somewhere to pitch a tent, I thought we found a perfect spot and should have waited for Jamie to go first. I went first and the rest is confined to history and memories.

Did the Taiga in 2016. Camping spots along the way were scare since there are no roads leading off of it. Not even the usual go to logging roads since the trees are too small to be worth harvesting.

We ended up finding a spot in the back of a First Nations hunting camp.

Had to do the same thing. It was quite revealing how desolate places can get sometimes. Not the kind of place to have a breakdown if you do not have the required parts handy. Will do some sort of report this weekend, Still busy chasing my tail with work. Still quite an achievement for me to do over 1200km of gravel and sandy roads without dropping the Shrew. I just might be on the verge of having her tamed after all the trips this summer lol.
