I don't know what I am doing wrong but OFTR does not send me an email when I ask for a new password. When I try to contact them it does not work. What do I need to do?
    Thanks
    Rick

Email george@oftr.ca and tell him what's going on. I asked for a change in the notification system and they were able to modify it. Their developer should be able to get it sorted out.

Sort of. I emailed George and he said that not all of the files were transferd over when they changed to a new system. Myself being one of those lost soles.
He will be addressing the situation next week and he will let me know when I can join.

Same issues for me. I figured I'd just renew via ODSC. Guess what happens when I click the "Join" button above...? 404.

Thanks for mentioning this. I forgot to update the link after the OFTR site changes; it's fixed now. It does however only take you to the OFTR membership join up page. Anyone having trouble with the OFTR membership function should email george@oftr.ca; I expect their developer has already been notified.

EDIT: The OFTR system has been sending me membership notifications since the beginning of January.

    Hi Neil, happy new year.

I tried renewing my ODSC/OFTR membership, and could not because it asked for my email address and password.

My current email has changed since last time I renewed as such. I just sent you an email in this regard.

Please advise so that I can update my membership.

    Thanks
    Conrad C

    Conrad,
I made the changes you asked for, please note that this relates only to the ODSC forum. I believe the OFTR site also requires a password (which can the same or different from the one used for ODSC forum access). The OFTR system has no direct tie-in to the ODSC site. If you have an issue, please contact george@oftr.ca for help.

I'm a touch frustrated. I have filled out the OFTR membership page at least three times. Today at work I attempted it -- I submitted and it just disabled the Submit button and nothing more. I just tried again, and got this:

    "Server Error in '/' Application.

    The resource cannot be found.
Description: HTTP 404. The resource you are looking for (or one of its dependencies) could have been removed, had its name changed, or is temporarily unavailable. Please review the following URL and make sure that it is spelled correctly.

    Requested URL: /Account/undefined"

I know it's not the fault of anybody in the ODSC or OFTR (I build sites for a living and sometimes even get 404 errors myself) ... but this is getting a bit much. Am I the only one still experiencing trouble?

George got back to me last night and we were able to the financials over the phone. But when I then tried to set up the new password it oiled not work and so I sent another email to George. I received a reply this evening to try again and finally things worked.
George said they are still working on some problems and that he hoped they would all be cleared up soon.

    Hi Duncan-

You're not the only one. About 5% of members have been having difficulty. Please send an email to info@oftr.ca or George@oftr.ca and this will get sorted.

Thanks. The problem was with PayPal. Once I asked to pay by eTransfer, the application went through. I think someone had to manually initiate the invoice, but that was easy.

I suggest you ask the other 5% if they're choosing PayPal, and if they are, ask them to use another payment option.

There have been a number of quirks with the new system, each one affecting people differently. The developers are working thru the issues and we should have them cleaned up soon.
