    and now an OFTR UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"The mtching dollars fund for the NTC grants recently exceeded $5,000 which will go towards labour and materials to create and improve multi-use trails that include ORMs. We hope to provide short term jobs for our members.

The OFTR has matched the contributions to date and will do so for the next $2,500 received before June 12 from a previously unused grant."

So, that means we just cleared TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! with NTC funds added in. You guys should be proud. Steve

OK, Are you sitting down for this????!!!!

The Land Use Fund sits at $12,000.00!

Absolutely you all need a major pat on the back for this. Absolutely incredible and has far exceeded what we thought we could do. I want to thank the mystery donor that made a $2000.00 contribution. We all really appreciate your generosity.

I don't know what else to say....it's tough times out there right now, but you all went over and above. With 2 days to go, who knows, maybe we can hit 15K. Then, don't forget it gets double by the Government. I applaud you all. =D> =D> =D>

I donated (more than $50.00) weeks ago to this cause (instead of picking up my t-shirt someday).. Just like Ron
(not that I would ever want to be like Ron.. he hee..) I also don't need two odsc t'shirts so I'd like to donate my
"gift shirt" to a random draw from ODSC members who donates less than $50.

Ok, the only slight prob with that is I don't know who donates what, unless they post here the A)they made a donation and B)the amount (which I'm not verifying...I just trust you for what you say. So Tony, if you don't have an objection, I'd like to simply give the shirt to the next poster that posts they've made a donation. Cool?

Also, if you are owed a shirt, and are going to the RFS, please PM if you can so I can bring it for you(tell me your size)

So far, I'm bringing one for Millicat and WRFDon. Anyone else?

OK - we're down to the last few days before this opportunity ends. I want to Graciously thank everyone that has generously contributed and remind anyone that is unsure, or sitting on the fence, that this is a one time chance for us to get a hold of some significant Gov't funding. The more we can get, the better for us, our sport/recreation, and the future of our sport.
If you've had a spring garage sale and have a few dollars from the proceeds of that, or some beer empties collecting dust in the garage or some loose change under your car seats, or ????, please seriously consider throwing a few bux towards this fund. Remember- every dollar we raise will get matched from the National Trails Fund.

Just donated $30. (It's not much, but a single family income with 4 kids doesn't allow for much extra in the budget) You can save the shirt for the next guy with a more substantial donation, btw.

For what it's worth I think $30.00 is a substantial amount from someone who has 4 kids.. And most probably
hasn't even ridden his WR125 off-road yet this year.. My vote is Anthony should get the t'shirt.. Cheers.. :D

Thanks so much to everyone who contributed to this drive. Big or small your donation is an investment in protecting and expanding our riding areas in Ontario.

I just read this post and not sure if it is too late but want to contribute to this important project. I have been riding now with my kids in the crystal lake to bobcaygeon area for 6 years, and it was Ken H who got me back into this when we lived on the same street in Newmarket. Please provide a link to the Paypal and I will add my voice to the group. I feel this is really important to support, so that my kids (and I)can continue to do this for many years to come.

    thanks John

Hi John. Thanks for kicking in, particularly for the benefit of our children. On the first page of this topic in the first post there is a link. YOu can click that and follow the steps. If the donations have been closed officially, your attempt to make a donation will be rejected, so no harm in trying. Thanks again. Steve

Made the donation, as it is still open...best of luck...even though i am not a member of ODSC, wouldnt hurt if the executive were to contact those of us that visit the site, as people like myself would certainly be up for helping forward the cause. I know Ken has done a ton of work and that we need to support our sport as much as possible in whatever way we can...

    Good Luck
    John
