My son and I recently green-plated and insured our dirt bikes...wondering where we can ride near London, Ontario?

We've been to Gopher Dunes and the Thamesford Pit...but we're looking for some crown land or other good spots to ride for a day.

Not into the motocross track thing so much -- prefer the trails.

Considered St William's Forest but understand it may now be off-limits?

We'll be visiting Ganaraska in future but it's a whole weekend outing for us due to the distance.

    Thanks in advance...Mike

St. Williams & Turkey Point are still open. St. Williams is only partially closed.

Yup, TP had tape across lots of the trails when I was down earlier this summer.

Still looking for parking information for St Williams Forest? Where is the best place to unload our dirt bikes and leave the trailer?

    Thank you...Mike

There is a parking area on the 6th concession rd known as "the log pile". There are signs and such there. Don't pay much attention to the trail closed signs in front of the singletrack, its a good rip.

The authorities had an opportunity to work with us when we presented a well thought out land use proposal that was simply ignored and now they use T-bar and construction tape to limit our use for supposedly endangered species that can't survive in the hundreds of thousands of conservation forests already preserved for them.

Go there, respect other users, private property but ride it and ride it all or we'll be the endangered species.

    ----------

Thank you...from what I see on Google Earth, it looks like that spot may be 4 or 5 km's East of Walsingham on the South side of Concession 6?

North side. Go to first stop sign east of Walsingham, then go about 1-2 more km. There is an opening on your left with a pile of logs on the East side. If the water puddle in the center of the entry way is full, do not try to drive thru it, go around, lest you want to be the center of attention & have CAA. Trust me.

Found the logpile on Sunday -- son and I rode there all day -- thanks again for the info!
