Just bought a pair of Gaerne Fastback Enduro boots - hoping to do some trail riding this season on my DR650 (but nothing too intense).

Issue is... they are a bit snug in the toe cap (i.e. my toes scrunch up if I kick the floor, and there's some pressure on the inside forefoot), and around the ankle.
Wore them around the house for 2h without any obvious hot spots, but that's obviously a lot different than bouncing around in them while trail riding.

Wondering if it would make sense to...

I designed a set of grab rails for the CRF300L (now for sale, I will post later) and I would like to try to bolt them on a 250. So I am looking for someone with a CRF 250L around Woodstock that would meet up with me and let me try bolting a set on.

My nephew is planning a cross country trip this year. He,s looking for a decent bike to do it on, he is 25 with experience on smaller dual sports and his current vintage suzuki Gs850.
I am telling him to look for Vstrom 650, Versus 650 , NC 750, etc. Budget is around 5k. Mid size is affordable insurance wise for him.

Any thoughts on this and more importantly is anyone looking to sell a well farkled and properly maintained example of the above ?
