Welcome to the ODSC, which stands for the Ontario Dual Sport Club. The purpose of the club is to provide a place where riders interested in Dual Sport motorcycling can meet with others having similar interests. We are an Internet-based club, and although we are centered on Toronto, we have no physical clubhouse or facilities, so we conduct our business from this website. Visit us regularly to check out the Organized Events, join a discussion on the Forum, or use the Classifieds Ads. Our main club activity is riding. Generally there will be one or more members riding every weekend from Spring through Fall, some even riding year-round. Most of these rides are announced in the Casual Rides forum. Popular recurring rides, where a larger attendance is expected, will be planned weeks or even months ahead, and are listed in the Club Rides forum. We find that a typical ride will be attended by those from the immediate general area. Our members tend to be spread out from London in the west, to Bowmanville in the east, and to Barrie in the north. A local ride may be 3-12 riders, whereas a more important event, like the ODSC part of the Ride For Sight may have 30 or more members.

Many club rides are mainly off-road, with road sections to connect the off-road parts. A street-plated motorcycle is mandatory on most club rides, and if trails are part of the route, it is strongly recommended that you fit street-legal (DOT) knobby tires. The typical areas where we have trail rides are St Williams Forest/Turkey Point near Port Dover in the west, Ganaraska Forest and Northumberland Forest near Coburg in the east, and Simcoe County Forests near Orangeville/Barrie in the North. Some members prefer riding back roads rather than trails. Good back road riding areas are available all along the Niagara Escarpment/Bruce Trail route i.e. Hamilton - Georgetown - Orangeville - Creemore - Collingwood areas. Although more distant, the Bancroft area probably has the best dual sport motorcycle roads in Ontario. The skill level of our members varies from total beginner to fast and advanced, so everyone is welcome to join the club and attend our rides.

A dual sport bike is not only practical but is the very essence of freedoms. It encompasses both worlds (on and off-road) and allows the pleasure of going that one step further. Most dual sport enthusiasts endure the highways while looking forward to the off road. Others ride long distances in search of enchanting locations.
