Hey all. Besides Hendrie, where are good single tracks up in Simcoe County? We tried North Barr last Saturday just off Horseshoe valley road and could only find one loop.
Personally, I like the Williams single track the best. It's off Old 2nd North. I believe it's a 22 or 24km long loop.
Is the Williams easily marked? I'm pretty sure I've been there and I don't remember seeing that much. Does anyone have tracks or a map perhaps?
The staging area for Williams is just off Old Second Rd Just north of the train tracks! Just down the road from RJ Motosport. Williams is one of the best marked areas, there are a number of arrows still up from this past years events! You should be able to have a good day at Williams. As for your poor luck at Horseshoe, there are tonnes of single track on that area some of it might be hidden by the fallen leaves and some of the mess that the loggers are left across trails! My bike is parked for this year (little early for me but family obligations have taken over) but hit me up in the spring and Ill take you for a guided tour of the Horseshoe area!! Don
What's the weather looking like up there? I see they're calling for maybe 1-3 cm tomorrow. Is there any on the ground now? Our last run at the Ganny last year there was 4-6 cm maybe and I really didn't have all that much fun! Too many surprises under the snow and just couldn't get comfortable. Leaves are enough of a challenge for me. Just in case anyone else wants to join we plan to be there around 8:30ish assuming agreeable weather.
I would advise if you are riding there that you keep all your papers as well as your OFTR membership with you. This is one of the most patrolled areas to ride. Great trails and members in the area. Enjoy.
