I will be working on the forum switchover starting at 3pm. All posts made after this time will be lost due to the import process.

At 9pm I have the basic work done. This should allow users to post. Site function will be reduced until more work is done. Tomorrow afternoon I will create the paid members usergroup. By tomorrow night I hope to have most everything up and running.

Users should be able to post now. You may find the forum turned off at various times tomorrow while I'm working on it.

Just a quick note to say that if you are logged in, the last item in dropdown for the MEMBERS button is the "Mark Forums Read" link that resets the "new topic indicators" (blue arrows). Once done this will make it easier to see new topics when looking at the forum index.

Private Messages are in your INBOX. The Xenforo software calls them "conversations".

XF (xenforo) makes heavy use of CSS (cascading style sheets). These are not supported in older browsers like the version of IE that was shipped with XP. IE is the redheaded step child of the browser world. The latest version should work OK, but older versions will do strange things. Rounded corners will not be present and colour gradients don't show up. Somtimes you need to do a page refresh to clean things up.

The Paid Members usergroup is done. At this early point in the season we have 109 paid members. Of these 39 have not registered on the forum. I have done a line by line comparison with the OFTR spreadsheets, so everything is as up to date as I can make it.

If your userbit under the avatar does not show ODSC/OFTR Member, let me know.

To change your avatar, click on your username (upper right beside Inbox), choose Your Account Page, then select Avatar and Location.
The location listed there shows below your avatar.

Henry, I doubled checked eveything sent from the OFTR and you are not in any of the lists. Did you happen to pay cash at the bike show? Cash customers are not part of the OFTR's automated system and sometimes don't get recorded properly. Can you send me a copy of your payment or membership record so I can follow up with the OFTR?

Clarification: It is more accurate to say that I do not know the usernames of 39 paid members. Some may have registered on the forum. The OFTR registration form does not provide a place to enter usernames for the local forums (BMA, ODSC, SCORRA etc.). This makes it difficult to match real names and usernames.

I see quote 6, and can find my 'location' setting... but I can't seem to find an Avatar or an option to load one. Tried I.E. 11 and Chrome. So assuming there's a bug??? or need older browser?

I'm sure the bug is in my setup work. I'll check this out soon. It's not supposted to be difficult, but it does take some poking around to find stuff. Normally you would hover over your username (directly above "search") to get a drop down list. Click on the first item "Your Account Page". This goes to a new page, on the left of that page is a list item that reads "Avatar and Location". Simple once you get there, but I've got to make sure you can access it.
