... now with 100% more dual sport fun!

This year we're going to be running two rides. The first is the traditional MTR single track focused event, for the more aggressive enduro and dual sport bikes. The second is a more double track focused event for larger and less aggressive bikes. These are arrowed events, and the distances are about the same for each ride. Lunch is provided for both rides and in the same location, which will allow you to switch up the route 1/2 way through the day, if you're getting exhausted from the single track route.

Whatever your pleasure, be it miles of twisty tight single track, or big bike friendly two track forest access roads the MTR has a route to suit.

There is a gas station at the corner of Horseshoe Valley Rd and Highway 93 about 7 min away from the start. Stinton Esso I believe.
    Hope that helps

I'm hoping to make it out for the Midhurst TR this year. It's been a few years since I've been out.

FYI that 9:00 start time is pretty early for those of us that have to drive 2 1/2 - 3 hrs to get up to RJ's.

    Thanks Brian

Hope you can make it this year. Think you will find a bunch more trail than when you last rode the MTR. Our crews have been busy the last few years.

Its always a bit of a tradeoff re start time. The event is a full day if you don't take any of the shortcuts.

We have some great deals at horseshoe resort just down the road if you want to come the day before. Koa also rents cabins and Barrie has a couple of reasonable places to stay

Race, eh, Marc? Trail Ride, for the record. Keep in mind the recent outcomes at Bethany.

If you want to come up the night before, you can stay at my place. I have an extra room and am 15 minutes away. Might make it easier on you. You are welcome to say that night if driving back is difficult.

Thanks for the generous offer! I think at this point though I'll just come up in the morning. And maybe even find someone from the London area that wants to share a ride.

Blue plates bikes are a necessary evil unless you want to run around in circles on one piece of property. Thankfully there are more options then ever for off-road savvy blue plated bikes.

This is the Dual Sport Club as well. We welcome anyone to the sight but our focus here is on street legal dual sport motorcycles and rides.

As SCORRA's chair of the Midhurst Trail Ride I can say that we would love to be able to run it as a non blue plate ride, however until there is legislative change (which the OFTR is working on) its just not feasible. And we have looked at lots of different ways. With this in mind we also hold a fun day format event which is green plate friendly.

Nothing elitist about blue plates. Many folks that have them would prefer to just have a green plate along with road access. Maybe in a year or two....
