I've been looking forward to this ride..but....my son's birthday is on the 15th. Maybe next year.

Chef - I'd be up to join any pre-ride runs you may do if schedule permits. Be forewarned though... I will slow you down ;)

Would love to do this ride but have family commitments. If there's going to be a pre-ride of the aggressive route maybe I could tag along. Otherwise, I guess another time. Have a great ride. Be safe.

Hi chef, I'm swamped all weekends coming up with working shift and family plans - but possibly could help pre riding Friday if needed - either big dog (990) or aggressive (500) if needed.

Alternatively - if not - will probably post up in casual rides if anyone wants to ride :). Weather is not to the greatest - but will be warm!

how easy / difficult is this ride. I have a WR250R and Vstrom 1000, trying to decide which one to bring. Did the Maitland to Saugeen ride recently on the Vstrom and it was fine. Is this more difficult than that?

The adv route would be fine for the storm ... you could prob do it two up.
The d/s would be better suited for the war with stock tires
The aggressive would be wr with dot knobbies and some skill

    Hope this helps

Count me in! After the date change and some adjustments in my schedule, I can attend this one. I'll ride the aggressive route on the trail bike. See you all on the 22nd!

I will bring the club T-shirts for sale, for anyone interested.

What route would be best for the AT with knobbies?

You will probably be happy with the d/s route. The aggressive would be more suited for a lighter machine... easier to pull out of the muck. I'm sure the aggressive is doable on a big bike with your skills, it is up to you. I just have no desire to sink a 400 plus pound bike. It has been a wet year.
