The club is 20 years old, let's see some pictures of the early days

At a recent Campbellville get together, I was made aware that the ODSC is turning 20! So let's celebrate this significant milestone. Being a club of modest means, it wouldn't suit us to have a great big extravaganza. Instead we thought we could post pictures of some of our early rides, waaaay back in the 1900's.

I've only been around this club for 13 years, so I'm asking for input from our long standing members like Bob M, Brian H, Randy K (because he took so many pictures), Eric (Russell or Carnell), Randy S, Cole, Marc G, or any other early member from the early days of this
fine club.

My first club ride was Georgetown to Creemore with Brian leading the way. I think the second ride was similar area with Sham leading.

Our most memorable ride...I wish i still had the right up that was on the web site.. Brian said there was a bridge??? We slept in a hunt camp and never made it to Brian'scottage, but it was a blast,,, and now a""" blast from the past""""

Parry sound 3 day camp out ride 1999 I organized this ride.. Great ride Great memories..

On a ride north of Parry sound July 1999 Crossing a lake (well seemed like a lake) with Sham Kanji, Mike Schorpp, Karl Raupp. On my 1983 XT550.

I helped with the RFS in 1999, but didn't ride it. This is from Toronto Star.

My first club ride was Brian's Hastings ride in 98. If I remember correctly it was Brian-DR650, Sham-KLR650, Gordon- DR650, Dave- DR650, Paul- XR650L and myself-TS200. I believe this pic is from the ride, but I'm not 100% sure:

I can't believe its been 20 years already! Time goes by fast when you're having fun. It's great to see the old pictures. I've got a couple albums of non digital photos I'll bring to the AGM on March 10th.

For now here are a couple pics from 2004. First 2 are from the 2004 MADD Ride, 2nd 2 are from the Hastings Ride and next is the DS Ride 4 Sight, and the last is the Bluewater Ride.

I wasn't around in the very early days, but I finally got myself back on a dirt bike in March 2006 & stumbled onto this site in early April 2006. Here's a pic just after my very first ODSC ride, organized by Eric Russell & held at Platinum Powersports near Clinton on April 30 2006;
IIRC, there were about 8-10 of us on that day; Eric Russell, Eric Carnell, Tomas & Jana? Roger Goetz, Pete Bokkers, and a few others that have slipped my memory.


Did another ride from Eric Carnells house in Belgrave a week or two later. It was really hot that day and we spent a bunch of time in some swamps... LOL.

A couple weeks later on May 13 2006, I held a little ride from my house; L-R Myself, Bert Travis, Mark Weaver, Jamie Nardachioni, Roger Goetz;

Been many, many, many rides of all types, met many ODSC members & had several bikes since then......
