Wow!! Look at the change in the Waterfall crossing over the years...

I was new to DS back then. I remember that first crossing on that ride...I was certain I couldn't go across it (go down the muddy bank...across some roots...jump (!) that ledge...and go through water...then have to climb the other side. NO way, Man!

One thing I enjoy about riding with Bob is we usually end up here on the Creemore ride!

Yeah! Way to go Smart Boy. Arrange a ride down the Grand River and have your rear wheel bearings disintegrate 1/2 way. (In my defense, I had thoroughly soaked the rear end in a muddy creek trying to cross the weekend before...guess what sandy water does to wheel bearings!)

I've been trying to find my old archived pictures since this post as I've had so many computers, disks, storage devices, cloud backup, etc, etc in the last 20 years. I eventually found them today and have done a quick sort to find some old and/or interesting ones. I'll probably create a new on-line Album of ALL my DualSport ride pictures, maps, routes and trips in the next few months now that I've retired from motorcycling.

I heard about ODSC from Rob at Cycle City, Burlington in August 2000 when I decided to return to motorcycling and was looking for a Yamaha TW200 (I know .....). He suggested the new DRZ400 but I wanted a used bike so he told me to checkout ODSC as they had a website with links to their mailing list. A few weeks later, I bought a '94 DR350SE from an ODSC member and attended my first ODSC at Brian Helliwell's house in Ingersol in Oct 2000. I remember it well due to counting the riders at the first gas stop and there were 17. At lunch in Turkey Point I counted 16 and we had trouble figuring out who was missing. Turned out to be Sean Klady on a DT-1 and we never saw him again! There was quite a S*#T-storm on the mailing list for the next several days!!! Happy times

Here's my oldest ODSC picture taken on my 2nd ride at Primrose on Oct 29, 2000. I remember Brian, Rich, Phil, and Cole being there.



The next ride was at St Williams on Nov 5, 2000. I think it was Cole and Marc and their sons - plus a few others.



Next up was the Beagle Bash on April 9, 2001 - my 1st Kawasaki Trail Ride series,

I didn't take a whole lot of pictures on the rides I attended, but I found a few:

One of the first club rides I did was the Walsingham Super Sunday, here is a pic of some of the bikes before we left... and a quick break at lunch with I think Gorick's back to me:
