DUAL SPORT PLUS PRESENTS EASTERN ONTARIO ADVENTURE RALLY MAY 13, 14, 15, 2016 DUALSPORT PLUS PRESENTS Eastern Ontario Adventure RallyThe Eastern Ontario Adventure Rally has returned for another year. As before, the rally is open to all types of motorcycles because the rally has 3 different types of routes. Elmhirst Resort is our home base for the weekend, with excellent accommodations, facilities, food, and activities. There will be a BBQ and bonfire on Saturday evening so that we can all share stories of the day’s events. Friday May 13Check in (3:00 pm) to your comfortable cottage for two nights. Each cottage has three bedrooms (one with twin beds, two with queen beds), full equipped kitchen, dining area, living room with open fireplace, four piece bathroom, outdoor deck with gas BBQ. All are located directly on the waterfront with deck furniture and private dock Ideal for four singles or two couples per cottage. Two restaurants (one pub style with Patio, one upscale - both featuring Black Angus beef raised on the resort property) are open for Friday evening meals at participants expense or your cottage is fully equipped to prepare your own meal. Evening briefing in the meeting hall at (8:00 pm) – we will discuss your available route options and load your GPSs. Saturday May 14Morning breakfast, at the main lodge, is included with your entry. Then gather your buds, bike and gear and head for the end of the runway for the traditional group pictures and get ready for launch. Ride individually or in groups. Preview the Dual Sport Pus Trials Bike Demo Rides and Course layout for the afternoons demo when you return. Spouses / families who attend, but do not wish to ride, have use of the resort facilities for the day. Spa appointments, horseback riding and ATV Safaris may be booked prior to arrival. On return from the rally enjoy the resort facilities: Indoor and outdoor pools, exercise and spa facilities, completely equipped waterfront with canoes, kayaks, fishing boats, pontoon boats, tennis courts, hiking trails, horseback riding, sightseeing flights etc. or head to the outdoor patio at the Wild Blue Yonder to enjoy local tap beer. The Saturday evening Dual Sport Plus will be hosting Trials Bike Demo`s at the end of the runway for all participants to partake in. Meal will be held out at the hanger, where we will eat awesome BBQ, drink our favorite beverages and gather around the bonfire. The music and camaraderie will last late into the night. The beverages will bring out the stories Did I mention that there will be a keg of beer? Submit you digital pictures for the Sunday morning. Hardcore road riders will do a sunrise loop around Rice Lake before breakfast. Sunday May 15 Sunday morning breakfast/ slideshow / laughfest – join us in the resort for buffet breakfast, with a rider submission slideshow, followed by a wrap-up presentation and more Dual Sport Plus Demo Rides. This is a one price deal, all Friday and Saturday accommodations, Saturday breakfast, Routes, Saturday evening BBQ and keg, and Sunday morning breakfast are all included. All prices are per person. All you have to choose is how deluxe you want your rooms. There is a separate rate for your non-riding guests. These are deluxe cottages, right on the lake, with multiple bedrooms, nice bathrooms, kitchens, living rooms, and decks. A limited number of tent spots will be available. Reserve through the resort. The Routes: It all depends on what you brought to the party, and how dirty you want to get it. Each route contains a lunch location and posted gas bars. You can ride individually or in groups. Each route will have a guide riding along with you. There are three routes to choose from: All Pavement, Gravel/Pavement & Off Road. The A.P. All Pavement route will take you on a 400km pavement route covered in twisty roads and scenic back roads with a stop at a fabulous lunch spot. The G.P. Gravel/Pavement route will also be about 400km of scenic gravel roads and single lane roads, with a lot of roller coaster type rural ways. The O.R.Off Road route is about 300km of sandy road allowances, tractor trails, twisty gravel and broken pavement. All routes start and end at Elmhirst Resort, and have a lunch stop and gas bars on route.
