2023 St-Williams Super Sunday

The Super Sunday DS ride will be held on October 1st 2023. We will start from the Walsingham Community Centre as usual. Our man Gorick is working on some new routing. Early October should be a great time for the fall colours.

The Super Sunday is coming together, here are some details:

The ride will be 01 October, meet at 9:00 am at the Community centre and be ready to ride at 10:00. That means bikes fuelled up, tires aired down and dressed ready to go.

We have the use of the Walsingham community centre so we can have a warm and dry place to change as well as washrooms. There is plenty of parking space for cars & trailers, etc. The Walsingham town hall is at the intersection of Hwy 59 and 6th Concession, south of Langton. Coordinates are: N42 40.6 W080 31.6.

The ride is a mix of Norfolk County back roads, ATV trails and a bit of single track. The ride will be about 200 km, with some new trails this year. In the words of Rick who's planning the route: "Good for all bikes but you need some skills if you are on a Big Dog". The more difficult sections can be bypassed. This ride is suitable for Big Dogs on knobby tires, again, with some skills and confidence . All bikes must be blue plated and insured.

There will be a fuel stop roughly at the midpoint. You can bring your own lunch or there is a Subway near the gas station.

Cost will be free to members and $10 for non-members.

Unfortunately I won't be able to make it out for this ride, it's a work thing...But Rick will take care of everything. The hall should be open around 0845 am. Tomorrow's weather forecast looks like a perfect riding day. Have a good ride everyone.

What a beautiful day to ride. It was the nicest day we have ever had for the Super Sunday. I was a bit disappointed in the turn out with only nine riders showing up. I guess the day was too nice and family plans probably took presidence. Still we had a great ride on many new trails and very little mud.
Thank you to all that came out. It was nice too see old friends and meet some new ones.

Hey guys, did anyone get a GPS track for the ride? I would like a copy for when I get to go out & ride

This is the first time in a few years I've missed this ride. (Booked a camping trip this weekend).

Looks like I missed one of the best ones. Won't miss next year's.

I would also like the GPS route if anyone has it.
