Just wanted to say thanks to Cam, Kevin, Derek & everyone else who was involved to organized this year Bethany ride. I'd great time.
All were accounted for at parking lot as all trucks and trailer were reunited with their owners. The mill road mud hill trapped a few bikes and cost some time for many
That was some great riding today. Absolute perfect weather for a ride like this. We did the small bike route and it turned out awesome. Was a great turnout. Great to see lots of familiar faces and some new ones. Big thanks to everyone who helped put it together. Especially Chef and OntarioGS. Great job guys!
This was my first (but definitely not last) Bethany Followed Derek on the bid bike route, was awesome...nice weather to top it all off Thank you very much to everybody who helped putting this together.
First Off Road adventure for me and the new DRZ on the big bike trail and it was awesome. Thanks for a great time everyone involved in organizing the event, and thanks to the other riders that were extremely welcoming. Also, thank you Steve for storing my hiking bag in your truck, it would have been a hell of a time to lug around. Cheers boys, I'll probably see you at the next event!!(With better tires)
It's been a while since I've been out to the Bethany ride. I thoroughly enjoyed this years event. The route was great, the weather was great and the people were great. Thanks to all the guys that put this thing on. Brian
Ok that's the best shot I've seen of 4 guys trying to get a bike out of a hard place!! That's me in the bright helmet! Not my bike but we did succeed!!
theres one and a few more on youtube under greg manton thanx for the great day guys seems i tagged em bathay 2015
For the record there was really only two mud holes on this entire 150 km route. Both are on active road allowances and both are floaded regularly by agacent farm land runoff. The odsc is a tread lightly operator and no one riding a dual sport or trail bike truly enjoys getting moored up in mud. It's never our intention to create such obsticles . We are clean in the previous picture because this was the first and only one of two really muddy sections we had to traverse. If this section was removed next year no one would miss it and a few would probably celibrate. It was not really fun in any way compared to the other 149 kms we road on Saturday.
i would miss it, mud is self healing definitely not an erosion issue. maybe a bypass route not omitting challenging sections. i think a photographer should be posted there. anyone have a trail cam for next .
This was my first Bethany Run, ( and technically my first ODSC event ) and go figure I make one of the above pics. Tooo funny. ( I am on the left, yup, that's my sexy arse...lol ) It was an exciting obstacle, that's for sure. It was nice to work up a little sweat, even though it wasn't from riding...lol Thanks to all, what an amazing event. For those newbees out there wondering if they should try it.....DO IT!!!! I was absolutely shocked at the type of terrain covered ( a great variety ), as well as the distance covered ( it really didn't seem that long ). It was just amazing. It was nice to meet some new friend, and I look forward to the next event!!!
Looks like fun by all. Yep, it's me. Crazyfrog. I'm back, off the sport bike, and now back on Dual Sport. Might join you all for the Beth 2016. Looks like the route has been shorten and re routed. But all the same fun.
