Bethany Ride - Saturday, April 27th, 2013

Ok I'm up. =D> now to just get ready and leave. Should be there in time for kick off.

Superb ODSC ride.

Great riding buddies, meeting new friends, meeting old ones. The bike was flawless. My GPS-fu with the new Montana needs practise.
The weather could not have been any better.
The route... =D> ... it had a good mix of offroad and a minimal amount of paved stretches that kept this rider always entertained. We weather could not have been any better: with a pre ride sprinkle to keep the dust down and then coolish temperatures to enjoy the ride.

We just flew through the routes with BJ as the navigator.

An epic day for a newbie's intro to the DS world. I am hooked! Now where did I put my spare clutch lever??

Thanks to those responsible for putting this together. The best fun I have had on 2 wheels in ages.

AWESOME ride today guys, thanks so much to the organizers and all those involved in making this happen. I especially liked the lunch in Bewdley - much better selection than at Bethany.

Great day...long, but great I got home about 11 tonight and of course on the way home my heated vest decided not to work so I was a little chilly by the time I got home. I didn't get any pics or vids but I think I might make a few blooper reels someplace. :lol:

This is the same spot two weeks ago.

This ride was my intro to dual sport. It couldn't have been better. I'd like to thank the the organizers for a fantastic ride. The group I was riding with got separated from the rest but still had a blast and got through the rest of it without any problems. Thanks guys for a fantastic start to my new hobby.

That was an awesome intro to off-road riding on a KLR650. Thanks to the organizers and to my group, for going what seemed like way too fast. I only fell 20+ times with just 2 major falls!

Hi all,

I was out and about as well the weekend. Seems as thou we are at least a month away from good riding. There is even sparse snow here and there about kinmount. Atvs are out in force ripping up the trails around 5 points and whitney. Hopefully the granny will open on schedule as everywhere I have been (except beagle bash) is not ready for any motorized sport without major trail damage resulting....

Hope it dries out soon!

We had a great turnout on Saturday, about 60% first-timer's! =D> =D>

The ride raised $395.00 which will be donated to the Ganaraska Forest Centre to provide financial assistance towards Police Patrols in the Forest. Thank you to all who came out, we hope everyone enjoyed the ride.

If there is interest, perhaps we should organize another ride in June after the Blackflies have died off!
