Sounds like a great little tour, hard to pass up with this weather.

I wouldn't worry about hunters, they are the most controversial forest users right next to motorized vehicles (on public land). I partake in both activities regularly, not to mention its not legal to hunt from an assumed road so they would likely just be traveling.

Maybe I'll get up that way over the next week, it looks like the weather should be ideal for a bike trip.

Yeah I was told the MNR blocked off access at that point. We managed to get a KTM1090 and Tenere 700 up that steep hill and on to the other side - definitely would not try it solo though.

    Thanks for the update....
Looking at the map it does show a road going to 35, but solo wouldn’t do it either.

Just got around to editing some of the footage from this fall's ride so thought I'd share in case someone is looking at this info at some point.
The tighter trails and hill climbs toward the end of the video are off-shoots from Old Wagon Road... Fun times!

I've ridden old wagon a couple of times. I am always ridding it by myself and in my way to a cottage so I have never adventured off the beaten path. Looks like my choice of not heading out solo on the off shoots is the right call! Great looking hill climbs though. I will have to get there at some point with some guys to ride more than the main route..... maybe in a slightly dryer time! @GQelements great video!

Awesome ride and effort! Holy crap. You've given me pause to consider whether OWR is one I want to test my limited skill, DRZ, age, etc!!
Thanks for taking the time to do the video. It is great to have a preview of the road and conditions.
