EOAR update. Just called Elmhirst resort and checked on the availability of rooms left for the event. There is only one 3 bedroom Cottage left and 1 bedroom in another. There is still some camping available. You can tent it or bring a small pop up trailer. If your looking at coming to the event I suggest booking asap. Call Elmhirst Resort to book at: 1.800.461.1940
Would a V-Strom with Mitas E-07 tires survive the mud & sand route with pillion? I'm looking for "fun", not "challenge", so I'm perfectly content to stick with the gravel route again this year.
You are certainly safe with the gravel route. The sand and mud route has single track and mud options, that you can avoid if you desire. The main part of the route will keep you on your toes though because there is deep sand, tractor ruts, and a couple small trees to get over. We will discuss the details of each of the routes tonight at the meeting. See you there
