Went to look at a bike yesterday and I actually felt sorry for it. Wheel bearings and sprockets shot, wrong bolts stuffed in holes to hold parts on, seat and plastics all beat up, a length of galvinized pipe shoved in a rad hose to join it, rtv smeared around the carb boot, shifter cobbled and welded together, etc. etc.. Being in this condition I can't imagine how it was riden or maintained. It is unfortunate what can happen to a nice piece of machinery when it is not looked after. [-X [-X

Funny how different people see their bikes. Personally i find if you look at the rest of their life its a good indication how they treat things. If the lawn is cut , the yard is clean its a good guess the house is well looked after too. Same for their bike. If they show up at a event and the bike is spotless the car towing it is clean its a good guess they maintain the bike the same way.
