After years of the same old same old; and after years of some ODSC members promoting the Husky brand as "best bike ever" and "the Ferrari of dirt bikes" I decided to take the plunge: I bought a brand new Husqvarna. Of course I stayed away from EFI, troublesome fuel pumps and water soluble wiring harnesses. Instead I went with carbureted engine, gravity fuel feed and simple manual start with minimal wiring. I want the thing to be reliable and always ready to go.

So far, performance has been good, ergonomics are typically European. Acceleration a little sluggish, I hope it clears up after the engine is broken in.

Take a look at the pictures:

I knew it wasn't going to be a motorcycle before I saw the pictures.

Anyway, glad you didn't get rid of the KLR or buy one of those 630's some guy was thinking of selling.

You'll probably need a big tank for it, and maybe some hand guards.

Looks like a make work project.... Better to let the green stuff grow and go ride the bike... Even if it is a gas gas.
