Hey all. For those of you that know me, or have seen me in the last 6 weeks, you will know that I have been growing my "cheezy stach" for Movember. We'll I got some news this morning in my email box that was really quite a good feeling. for anyone that did participate or sponsor this worthy mens cause, applause to you all =D> Here's the news we had! Friday 10 December 2010 Outstanding Macquarie staff response to Movember globally The Macquarie Global Movember Challenge has been a tremendous success this year, with Macquarie staff raising more than $A425,000 to support a range of men's health issues. With Macquarie Group Foundation support, this means that Macquarie and staff have raised a total of $A850,000, making us the highest Movember corporate fundraisers globally. Congratulations to the top three fundraising offices: Sydney ($A268,621 with Foundation support) Toronto ($A119,655 with Foundation support) Singapore ($A76,836 with Foundation support) More than 620 staff registered across 30 offices to outdo each other’s moustache-growing and fundraising efforts, while the Foundation’s online Movember platform, established as a forum for staff to compare those efforts, attracted more than 6,400 unique users. Macquarie Group Foundation would like to thank all staff who grew a moustache or donated money to their colleagues for doing so, and the Group Heads who generously gave permission for their images to be transformed for the successful Macnet promotion. Note to participants: Your fundraising will be automatically matched by the Foundation if you used your Macquarie email address when you registered. If you registered with a personal email address or donated to a non-Macquarie employee you will need to fill out the staff donation support form and return it to the Foundation via internal mail or xxxxxxxx
