Hey! Old (62) just upgraded to a dual sport and thinking to try off-road adventure. When i asked which club i should affiliate with, the OFTR said this club. I am in downtown Toronto, Is this the club for me to do some adventure riding? Do you folk have your own trails around Toronto or how does it work? Many thanks
Hi jimnto, The club does not have it's own trails per Se, but we do have access to trails in Simcoe County, Bruce County, etc. There are also trails to ride (for a fee) in Ganaraska forest. We are however a place to meet other riders and we organize a number of rides every season, some are trail rides, most are suitable to ADV bikes. The organized ride calendar will be published soon. Hey Jimnto, welcome. One misunderstanding of OFTR is that you select your local club to support them but you have access to all of the OFTR trails. You can ride all of the other clubs trails, some have fees (Ganaraska forest, maybe other) From Toronto you can go north to Simco, East to Ganaraska or Northumberland forest. And if willing to travel farther there is many other areas Get the OFTR map app should be able to see most trails.
The calendar will be first shown at the Annual General Meeting next Saturday. It will be posted here on the forum after that.
