Several years ago, we lost a great single-track trail riding system in Northumberland County Forest, just east of the GTA. This political exercise, in my opinion, pushed through a somewhat bogus management plan which expropriated or closed most of the single-track motorcycle trail and largely ignored motorcyclists as legitimate users. So now, ten years on, the main protagonists of the earlier era have retired, died or moved on. A new council and new forest management may have a more realistic view of forest usage and are presently conducting an online survey. I don’t know if this survey will lead to any positive results but I an sure that not doing the survey will gain nothing. A high of compliance motorcyclists completing this survey will in the very least serve notice that we exist.
