Backroads are fine. Some of the road allowances had ice and snow on them a few days ago. Remember if you and your buds decide to get into the gnarly stuff, your chances of getting stuck or wadding it up increase. Better bring a rope as it will be hard for your buddies to save you when they are standing two metres away.
I saw an interesting comment out of New York. ....”imagine telling someone they are better to die at home with family than alone in a hospital.”

I went. It was fun. Did most of the aggressive routes. Didn't see anyone else

Its been quite a few years since I attended a ride around this area, actually Bob was the leader and introduced me to the area trails when I first started dual sport riding.

I would love to get out for a ride when all the restrictions have lifted, I've just signed the papers for a 2020 DR650 and will be retiring my KLX250 so I'll be needing some miles to break it in.

Hopefully you guys will host another ride I'd love to tag along.

I thought I knew that area inside and out but don't recognize that spot... unless that's the waterfall 'step-up' crossing with that dips across a shallow stream with a 1ft lip on the south 'shore.. is that it? If not, can you PM the coordinates?

That's it for sure...with about 10 times more water than you get in the summer.

Saturday looks mighty fine. It's Tuesday now, that means the weatherman will be pulling a 180 on that forecast. So, who knows? Keep the thread growing.

I live in Orangeville and added a CRF250L to my garage, wouldn't mind tagging along if anybody is going out this weekend.

I'm going to try be in the area around 12pm Saturday and I'll be there most of the weekend. Where do people want to meet and when?

2 new riders, 1 well-seasoned, crossing the Waterfall on Saturday. We even had one guy step off his R1000 to do about 3 km of rail trail as he borrowed one of the WRs, just because he's interested. He said, compared to street bikes (yes, even those with 200 hp), it was more work...meaning the upper arms and shoulders. Yeah, I thought, that's why we ride...physical conditioning. Right?

Man, I don't know if you get a better day than Saturday. Everything the right temperature. Everything growing but not obscuring the views. Dry...in a lot of places, but not where I took one of the noobs. Mud is healthy. They smear that stuff on your face at a spa. Gotta love a DS bike.
