Overland adventures anyone? interested in helping to scout new overland rides?

Guys i need all the help i can get. Lets chat. I will like to attempt another google meet next weekend. i am hoping for 7.pm timewise. Does Saturday work for those interested?

I have no experience leading or organizing group rides but I'm keen to help out, learn and participate.

How Does a run to james bay sound for one of the multi day rides?

I'm willing to help. Pretty new to the whole organized part and GPS but I've done a few intense multi-day rides with a friend. I'm more of a small bike, knobby tire, guy but don't mind a bit of asphalt. I like water holes even less though as they can end a trip. So yes, I guess I'm kinda picky but I'm willing to go anywhere with a group to help each other out of a situation.

Today was a good day and we have agreed to do an exploratory scouting in the area of Algonquin park to start with. We are hoping for a full day or 2 of riding the area weather depending. Our target is for the weekending the 24th April.

The fair weather riders can wait until we post an official ride after the have sorted the routes and accomodation etc.

Have you guys made any headway with your plans? I'm interested in how it's going. I'll assume progress has been stifled by the ever changing provincial Covid restriction outlook. The announcement of "step 1" as of Friday has me wondering.

Dear all. Covid permiting... The club is in a position to offer 2 muli day adventure rides this season. Ride locations will be Elliot Lake area and Algonquin park area. I am looking to see if we can run a midweek ride and a weekend ride in the same arears to provide ample opportunities to those interested due to conflicting work schedules. I have not yet found a motel i like up North so i generally camp when i can.

Open to thoughts. First group will arrive at pre destined place and ride 2 days eg.Thurday and Friday.... Second group arrives and rides Sat and Sunday. You pay your Hotel /Camping.

For longer trips.... This year i am looking at the East Coast. New Brunswick interests me. I am thinking Trans Labradors and droping down to new Brunswick via New foundland possibly and Cape Breton as my personal bucket list. All these i intend to do before August 28th 2021.

Engage me before i get lost in lustful adventures. What will work for you with the multi day trips and what should i be aware of with my chosen directions.
