Hi. I just signed up for OFTR and ODSC membership and was just curious how long the processing time is. There's probably a faq somewhere but I can't find it. Thanks Rick
The processing is dependent on volunteers and can take few days. There has been challenges this year with logging system used as well. If you want to ride in an area were you need an OFTR membership and you have not got your cards yet, just make sure you have some form of proof that you paid for your membership recently. Printed copy of the online invoice should suffice.
Expect it to take a week for the forum access change. The OFTR sends me a spreadsheet on Fridays. I get to it a day or two later. As to membership cards, George (OFTR) probably does them in batches, so it could be 2 weeks or a bit longer including the mailing time.

A minor correction- we do use a paid staff person to handle membership processing. However, that person (George Posan) does work part time and usually does memberships in batches. Knad1an - As was mentioned by Neil, it can sometimes take 2-3 weeks for the membership package to arrive by mail, depending on time of year. Print out either the email George sent you, or the Paypal payment confirmation and keep it with you when you're on the OFTR trails. It constitutes proof of membership until your card & stickers arrive.
