Hello, I'm going camping up at Restoule Provincial Park end of June. I plan on riding some Forest Access Roads, but don't want to get into anything major, as I'll be solo. has anyone rode north up Sand lake Road? It's just east of the Provincial Park. I will also be camping at Grundy Lake Prov Park, and plan to ride the service road just east of that park also, going north.
There was a thread some time back (a couple of years ago) about Sand lake road. I can't find it right now but it must be hiding somewhere on this forum. I love Restoule PP, we spend a week camping there every summer . Michel
Sand Lake Rd is mentioned in this topic, posts number 76 and 78: http://www.odsc.on.ca/.xenforo/index.php?threads/north-bay-to-sudbury-the-long-way.19335/
Thanks! I read through those. I plan on starting at Sand Lake Road, and 534, and going as far as I can. I'm riding solo, so don't want to get into anything too rugged in case something happens.
We rode to lake nipissing up sand lake road. This was August last summer when things were dry. The road is pretty much an atv trail for accessing hunt camps. It could have a lot of water holes depending on the weather and can get confusing as there are lots of splits and whys in the trail that lead to lakes and hunt camps. Limited cell service so a gps wold be a good idea if your planning on going in far.
Well, just got back from exploring Sand Lake Road. I only made it up to Sand Lake. I didn't want to go further as I was solo.
Restoule seems like a nice place to ride, I'll have to get up there some day. Thanks for sharing that video!
