I have a 85 xl250 and the kickstart lever doesn't stay tucked in, I you tubed it and looks like my ball bearing/spring is to blame, problem is I can't get the ball bearing out. I've tried a pick, magnet even air that thing is in there good.
    Anyone have a suggestion.
    Thanks

Soak it in penetrating oil for a long time then try to tap the ball further in (just a small amount). If it moves in a bit, soak it again with penetrating oil. The idea is that a bit of fluid might get past the ball. At some point the ball might start springing back. Eventually it might come out. If that fails carefully drill in from the back side using a small drill. Take a thin nail and use it as a drift to push the ball out.
