Hi Guys, my dad is making some custom knives. We are looking for a foot or two of 3/16th gauge round stainless steel rod to use for pins in securing the handles. He hasn't had any luck finding anything in Guelph, so I was wondering if anyone knows where we can purchase in the KW-Cambridge area. I presume some type of metal supplier would do it. Even better would be nickel silver rod, but that may be even harder to find. Thanks guys! STeve
Metal Supermarkets in Cambridge (and likely at the Kitchener store as well) has 3/16" round stock in Stainless steel, mild steel, brass, bronze, alloy steel, etc. The Kitchener store is just around the corner from your office: 5 Forwell Road, Kitchener. Good luck! Michel
Princess Auto, Home Depot, and Canadian Tire sell bar stock but I'm not sure if any of them carry stainless. Might be worth a try.
