After reading the 'New gps !' thread about the new touch screen, all in one disposable stuff lacking the features and durability of the old originals, it reminded me I still have my old war horse
Garmin GPSV around will all the cables, mounts, power cord etc. Damn near indestructible and can be used with AA batteries if needed.
I'll likely never use it again with my fading eyesight. Anyone interested in buying it for something near $100 including some non-locked mapping software ?
Take it or else I'll have to mount it and start mountain biking again.

Still using mine...I have 2 of them in fact.

In 2009 when we rode the Tuareg Rally in Morocco, the GPS-V was already horribly out of date and obsolete but guess what? I'll bet 1/3 of all competitors were using it and it out performed new units that were 10X the cost. Best part about them is that they are indestructible.

The rally guys are likely the only ones left to appreciate them. If you know anyone there who would be interested pls let them know.
I liked it best because it was smaller and the display can go horizontal. Easier to mount totally out of the way without blocking anything else.
